Bashundhara Readymix opens fifth unit at Bhulta, Narayanganj

Bashundhara Readymix and Construction Industries Limited (BRMCIL) has inaugurated its fifth ready-mix plant in Narayanganj.

BRMCIL technical advisor Syed Fakhrul Ameen was guest of honour while chief operating officer Mirza Mujahidul Islam chaired over the inauguration ceremony of the plant in Bhulta on Saturday.

The officials mentioned that the new plant will add value through producing high-quality ready-mix concrete products for the construction industry.

The plant boasts a production capacity of 120 cubic meters of concrete per hour. It is poised to serve a wide spectrum of construction projects, ranging from small to large scale, in the regions of Bhulta, Araihajar, Gauchia, Japanese EPZ, Narsingdi, and the surrounding areas.

Addressing the function, Mirza Mujahidul Islam stated the construction of this plant with increased capacity is intended to cater to the needs of the residents of Narayanganj and its adjacent regions.

“Our ready-mix concrete is now readily available, and the plant will have a monthly production capacity of 8 lakh CFT (cubic feet) of concrete filled tubes,” he said.

BRMCIL head of sales division Golam Sarwar Naushad, head of marketing Mohammad Alauddin, chief engineer Biswajit Dhar, deputy general managers Shishir Kumar Biswas and Shimand Biswas, and head of operations Masudul Haque were, among other officers, present on the occasion.

Bashundhara launches its 3rd ready mix plant to meet rising demand for quality concrete

Bashundhara Ready Mix and Construction Industries Limited (BRMCIL), a concern of the country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, launched its third plant on Sunday to supply quality concrete for durable constructions in Dhaka city.

The largest Ready Mix plant has been constructed at Bashundhara Residential Area in Baridhara of the capital Dhaka to make quality concretes available to the construction sites within short time and affordable cost.

Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman Safwan Sobhan Tasvir inaugurated the plant at Block-P at Bashundhara Residential Area as the chief guest.

Professor Dr Syed Fakhrul Ameen, former teacher of BUET and adviser of Bashundhara Ready Mix, attended the programme as the special guest.

Mirza Mujahidul Islam, Chief Operating Officer of  Bashundhara Ready Mix, Bashundhara Multi Trading Limited and Toggi Services, Md Towfique Hasan, Head of Division of Marketing and Business Development (Sector-C), Md Ilias Hossain, Head of Division (Audit), Biswajit Dhar, Chief Engineer, Shishir Kumar Biswas, Head of Plant Operations,  Khijir Ahammed, Head of Division (SCM-Foreign), Shimanto Biswas, Deputy General Manager (SCM-Local), Masudul Haque, Assistant General Manager and In-Charge (Sales), among others, were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr Syed Fakhrul Ameen said “It is better to use concrete materials from the nearest ready mix plant to have durable construction. The Bashundhara Residential and adjoining areas are experiencing a procession of construction works. Being nearest, the third plant will be able to provide quality concretes to the construction sites in the locality. Such delivery of concrete products will be quick for having no traffic jam.”

Terming the third plant the largest in Dhaka, Mirza Mujahidul Islam said that the plant will be able to provide quality concrete in Bashundhara Residential and adjoining places at the low cost.

“The third plant has capacity to produce 240 cubic meter of concrete per hour. We have modern equipment, transport and other logistic facilities having a capacity to supply 2-2.5 lakh CFT ready mix concrete at affordable cost daily,” he said.

About quality of ready mix, he said the quality of Bashundhara ready mix is better than others creating a growing demand in the market.

“We have a plan to construct 10 more plants in various parts of the country in this year,” he continued.

Md Towfique Hasan said “The third plant will be able to provide concrete to the construction sites in Bashundhara, Gulshan, Baridhara, Rampura, Uttara, Tongi, Purbachal, Dhaka cantonment and Mirpur areas.”

The third plant is aimed at meeting the growing demand for proper PSI (pounds per square inch) concrete in the northern part of Dhaka city, he said.

Bashundhara Group constructed the its first plant at Hasnabad of Keraniganj in January and second plant at Kanchan in Narayanganj in September last year (2022).

This huge concrete plant was inaugurated on the side of Shitalakshya river Kanchan bridge on the capital’s Purbachal highway on Sunday. Mirza Mujahidul Islam, COO of Bashundhara Readymix, Bashundhara Multi Trading Limited and Togi Shipping and Logistics Limited inaugurated the project by cutting the ribbon and flying the flag.

Senior ED (Construction) Engineer Amanullah, Head of Division (Marketing and Business Development) Taufiq Hasan, Head of Division (Operations) Togi Shipping and Logistics Captain Mahbubur Rahman, GM (Construction) Engineer Biswajit Dhar, Head of Operations were present. , Bashundhara Readymix Shishir Kumar Biswas, AGM-Sales, Bashundhara Readymix Masudul Haque and other officials of the company. Kanchan Mayor Rafiqul Islam was also present at the opening ceremony.

It was said on the occasion that the highest quality ready-mix concrete prepared with automatic concrete mixing and delivery system of 120 cubic meters per hour will reach Bashundhara residential area, Purbachal, Banani, Uttara, Tongi, Rupsi, Gausia, Bhulta, Araihazar, Madhvadi in a wide area from this plant. In large, medium and small constructions under construction.

In this regard, COO Mirza Mujahidul Islam said, ‘The journey of the first plant started in January 2022 at Hasnabad in Keraniganj. We are always vigilant about the quality of readymix prepared by that plant. We have been supplying the psi strength readymix required by the customer. In view of the huge demand, the journey of this new plant started today in Kanchan area. Hopefully, we will be able to win the confidence of the under construction projects in the region with about 16 lakh CFT readymix per month. Besides, one of the country’s largest ready-mix plants is going to be inaugurated soon at Bashundhara P-Block.

In the inauguration ceremony of the plant, it was also informed that the concrete prepared in Bashundhara Readymix is ​​delivered to the customer through its own transport management after quality control in its own lab with state-of-the-art machines.

Bashundhara Ready Mix and Construction Industries launches commercial operations

Bashundhara Ready Mix and Construction Industries Limited (BRMCIL) has launched its commercial operations on Sunday aiming to meet the growing demand for ready mix concrete in the country.

Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman Safwan Sobhan officially inaugurated the commercial operations of BRMCIL at its manufacturing plant situated on the bank of the Buriganga River in Hasnabad area of South Keraniganj.

Khairul Bashir Khan, Chief Operating Officer, Toggi Shipping & Logistics Ltd; Mirza Mujahidul Islam, Chief Operating Officer, Sector-C; Eng Amanullah, Senior Executive Director, Md. Tawfiq Hasan, Head of Division, Marketing and Business Development of Sector-C; Shishir Kumar Biswas, Head of Operations, BRMCIL; Jalal Uddin, AGM, Sales and other officials of Bashundhara Group were also present on the occasion.
